E KYC of Ration Cards can be done on mobile using My Ration App

Gandhinagar: The Central Government’s Department of Food and Public Distribution has undertaken a nationwide campaign to complete 100 percent e-KYC within the time frame for seeding the beneficiary-population ration cards of all states, including Gujarat, with Aadhaar numbers for correct and identical Aadhaar numbers. The Food and Civil Supplies Department has requested the beneficiaries with ration cards to participate in this campaign and get e-KYC done.
Further, as mentioned in the list, the e-KYC verification process of 78.54 lakh beneficiaries of 26.19 lakh ration cards has been successfully completed in the state so far. Whereas, plans have been made to complete the e-KYC process of remaining ration card beneficiaries at the earliest.
Ration card holders can now easily do e-KYC at home through ‘MY RATION’ mobile application. In addition to this three-way e-KYC is done through ‘Aadhaar’ based bio-metric authentication by V.C.E at the Mamlatdar-Zonal office at Taluka level-Zonal office, through ‘Aadhaar’ based ‘Face Authentication’ using ‘PDS+’ mobile application at village level. can
It is worth mentioning that, the process of e-KYC is completed only by giving the details of ration card number, mobile number and Aadhaar number to the ration card holder for e-KYC. Whereas, copies of various personal proofs-xerox copies or bank account details are not required. Also, the ration card beneficiary can do the e-KYC at home himself or the process has to be done from the government-run e-village center, mamaltdar and zonal office.
