Flash flood risk for Vadodara, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and other areas until Thursday: IMD bulletin

Vadodara: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather department of the Government of India, has issued a flash flood warning for certain areas of Gujarat, including Surat, Vadodara, and Valsad, for the period up to 11:30 AM on Wednesday, September 26.

According to the IMD bulletin issued by its Hydromet Division’s Flash Flood Guidance Cell, the districts of Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman, Bharuch, Dahod, Narmada, Navsari, Panchmahal, Surat, Tapi, Vadodara, and Valsad likely have moderate flash flood risks in the next 24 hours (up to 11:30 AM on September 26).

Surface runoff and inundation may occur in fully saturated soils and low-lying areas, as indicated on the map, due to the expected rainfall in the next 24 hours.
