Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam Achieves Full Reservoir Level; Gujarat CM Worships the Waters

Gandhinagar: Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam which is called the lifeline of Gujarat achieved full reservoir level of 138.68 meters at 8 am today (1st October). The dam which is designed storage capacity of 9460 mcm had same number of water stored today. The inflow was 82,408 cusecs aginst which outflow was 46,548 cusecs in river bed and 6,119 cusecs in canal by opening of one gate in 0.6 m gap. At 12 noon inflow was 79,811 cusecs and outflow was 72,254 cusecs in river bed and 8,114 cusecs in canal by opening of 5 gates in 0.8 m size. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited the dam site in the afternoon and offered puja there to worship and welcome the waters of Narmada. DeshGujarat
