Love jihad suspected as married Hindu woman goes missing in Deesa

Banaskantha: A case of love jihad has come to light in the Deesa taluka, where a husband has approached the police, alleging that his wife is missing and that a Muslim youth has lured her away while she had gone playing Garba during Navratri.
According to the information received, a married woman from Deesa went to participate in Garba during Navratri but did not return home until late. Concerned about her absence and lack of contact, her husband filed a missing person report at the Deesa police station. It is alleged that a Muslim youth enticed the woman away. The couple has one child together.
In response to the incident, various Hindu organizations have staged protests. Members of these groups gathered at the Deesa South Police Station to demand the arrest of the accused. Former Deesa MLA Shashikant Pandya also visited the police station to demand the woman’s return, prompting the police to take further action in the matter.
