Raid at historysheeter Arif Mindi’s house in Surat; ₹8 lakh electricity theft uncovered

Surat: Officials from Torrent Power Ltd, along with the police, raided the house of notorious criminal and GujCTOC accused Arif Mindi. During the investigation, electricity theft worth more than 8 lakh rupees was uncovered. Arif Mindi and his gang were booked under the GujCTOC Act in 2022 for their alleged involvement in organized crime.
Acting on information about the power theft, Torrent Power officials conducted an investigation at Mindi’s residence in Khanderavpura, with assistance from the Local Crime Branch Zone 4 Police due to concerns over potential attacks. During the investigation, it was found that the accused’s family was stealing electricity by tampering with the meter. The electricity department officials have detected theft amounting to more than Rs. 8 lakhs and have initiated legal action. DeshGujarat
