Cattle-keepers earn Rs. 5 per litre by selling Gaumutra in rural Bhabhar

Palanpur: The world’s first of its kind Gaumutra plant will start operating in Bhabhar in North Gujarat from November 17. The plant is located at Abala village of Bhabhar taluka. The local cattle-keepers will get Rs. 5 per liter revenue by selling Gaumutra (cow urine) at this plant.

The operator purchases cow urine from cattle-keepers and make ‘Dhan Bhumi’ liquid fertilizer out of it which offers good results when used for growth of crops. Presently the purchase of Gaumutra is roughly around 1500 liter a day. The new plant which is to be inaugurated on November 17 will have a capacity to make daily 10,000 liter bio-fertilizer, primarily using Gaumutra.

According to Bhavesh Purohit, Directror of Gaumutra plant, the farmers of Bhabhar area will have an opportunity to earn upto Rs. 18 lakh per month by selling Gaumutra which shall be mixed with other items to make liquid bio fertilizers in order to encourage the organic farming. DeshGujarat
