Surat: There was an uproar in Surat’s Pal based Green City in the evening due to suspicion of Christian religious conversion activities. The alleged conversion event was held in the building number 13. Around 40 persons were boarded in a private luxury bus and several cars and brought here. After the uproar, city police DCP Rakesh Bharot held questioning of all 40 persons to check whether they were brought for religious conversion forcefully or with some kind of allurement. According to Advocate Yogesh Patel, the organizer of the event, it was organized with prior permission of Pal Police, and those involved had got converted to Christian faith voluntarily.  One Niranjan Joshi from Bharuch was the speaker in this event which was held under the title of Shalom Parivar. The event was protested by the cadres of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.  DeshGujarat
