Vadodara: Toll tax rates have been increased at Bharathana Toll Plaza, located on National Highway 8 on the Vadodara-Bharuch section. With this hike, motorists traveling from Vadodara to Bharuch will now have to pay over Rs 50 more. The price hike was announced on Saturday, and the new rates have been in effect since 12 midnight on Sunday. All vehicles, including cars, will now incur higher toll charges.

With the toll rate increase, motorists traveling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai will also face higher charges at the Bharathana Toll Plaza. Previously, cars, jeeps, and vans were charged Rs 105, but the new rate is Rs 155. The return journey (to and fro) toll will now cost Rs 230, and a monthly pass is priced at Rs 5,085.

LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) drivers who were earlier charged Rs 180 will now pay Rs 245. The return toll for LCVs will be Rs 370, and the monthly pass will cost Rs 8,215. Bus and truck drivers, who were charged Rs 360 for a single trip, will now pay Rs 515. The return toll will cost Rs 775, and a monthly pass is priced at Rs 17,210.

It is noteworthy that this toll plaza was the highest-earning toll plaza in the country during the year 2023-24, collecting ₹472.65 crore in user fees from motorists. DeshGujarat
