Pensioners can now get Life certificate sitting at home thanks to the Postal department

Gandhinagar: There is relief news for pensioners. Pensioners no longer need to go to any treasury, bank or any other department to get a life certificate. But pensioners will be able to get a digital life certificate with the help of a postman or rural postal worker of their nearest post office.

Pensioners usually have to submit a life certificate to the treasury, bank or related department every year in November-December. For which pensioners living in remote areas often face difficulty in going to the treasury and also incur expenses in travel. But now the Indian Postal Department is providing the facility of providing digital life certificate to pensioners of all departments sitting at home. A fee of Rs 70 has been fixed for this. This certificate will automatically reach the concerned department online and there will be no obstacle in getting pension.

Postmaster General Shri Krishnakumar Yadav said, “India Post Payments Bank launched the door step service of Digital Life Certificate in 2020 to start life certificate for pensioners of Central, State and Employees Provident Fund Organization. Which is in coordination with the Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare and the National Informatics Center. To avail this facility, pensioners can request online through the Post Info Mobile App or with the postman of their area as well. The pensioner will be able to get the pension amount sitting at home through the postman in their bank account through the Aadhaar Enabled Payment System. DeshGujarat
