Platforms 2 & 3 at Surat Railway Station still operational
December 11, 2024
Surat: Platform No. 2 and 3 at Surat Railway Station, which were scheduled to be closed from December 7th as part of the ongoing work to upgrade the station into a Multi-Modal Transport Hub (MMTH), are still operational.
As the Western Railway has not issued any formal notice yet, train services are continuing as usual from both platforms. However, passengers who had already booked tickets are reportedly calling the railway station to enquire about the changes. It is learnt that the official approval to close these platforms is pending with the Railway Board, and once that approval is received, Western Railway will officially announce the closure dates.
