Humor stage artist Vasant Paresh passes away

Jamnagar: Humor artist Vasant Paresh passed away at a hospital in Vyara in Tapi district of South Gujarat. His last rites were performed in Jamnagar.

Vasant Paresh began performing on stage as a humor artist in the 1980s. He had around 200 titles released in the market as cassettes and CD/DVDs. Due to health issues, he had not performed on stage for the past five years. He was visiting Vyara when he experienced complications related to blood pressure and diabetes. Following this, he was admitted to a hospital in Vyara, where he passed away on the night of December 18 after over 10 days of treatment.

His wife, Anitaben, and son, Chintan, brought his mortal remains to Jamnagar, where he was cremated at 4:30 PM. A large number of Raghuvanshi community members, artists, including Sairam Dave, and others joined his funeral procession. Former Chief Justice of the High Court, Soniaben Gokani, also visited Jamnagar to console the family, as Vasant Paresh was her uncle (“mamaji”).

Some of his famous comedy titles include Vasant nu Vavazodu, Dhiru Banega Crorepati, Vasant nu Shutter Down, Vasant no Vantoliyo, Electric Bill, Dhiru na Dhajagara, Hasyna ni Honarat, Hasya no Fuvaro, and Dhada Vagar no Dhiru. DeshGujarat
