Three workers die in crane collapse at Okha jetty site in Gujarat

Dwarka: In a tragic accident, three workers lost their lives when a crane collapsed at a jetty construction site in Okha port, Devbhumi Dwarka.

The jetty project at Okha port is being developed by the Gujarat Maritime Board. The accident occurred suddenly when the crane collapsed, trapping the workers beneath it and causing them to fall into the water. Following the incident, teams from the Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB), the Coast Guard, the police department, the fire team, and 108 emergency services rushed to the scene. Two workers died on the spot, while a third worker, who was critically injured, was taken to a hospital but did not survive, according to the Okha Marine police.

As of now, the post-mortem of the deceased workers is being conducted. The identities of the victims have been confirmed as Jitendra Gobariya Kharadi (age 30), Nishantsingh Ramsingh (age 25, from Ratanpur, Furuhabad, Uttar Pradesh), and Arvindkumar Murarilal Nagla (from Ganjdudwala, Uttar Pradesh).
