ABVP Gujarat to hold 56th Regional Convention on 7-8-9 January in Karnavati

Ahmedabad: The 56th regional convention of the largest students’ organization Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) will be held in Karnavati Mahanagar during 7-8-9 January on the theme of Navnirman Andolan in order to make today’s youth aware of the importance of Navnirman Andolan and the power of students and to give a new impetus to the student world.

About 1500 cadres and student representatives from about 500 college campuses across Gujarat will be present in this convention which is going to be held at AES Ground in Bodakdev. The venue which being set up for the convention is named after the first young martyr of Gujarat, the freedom fighter Veer Vinod Kinariwala. Veer Vinod Kinariwala attained martyrdom at a very young age while fighting against the British.

The exhibition at the venue will be inaugurated on December 6. It will have pictures of Navnirman movement, pictures of the ABVP’s year-long movement, service works, scope of the ABVP, work, activity programs etc. Babubhai Desai (Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha) will be the chief guest of the inauguration ceremony of this exhibition which shall remain open for public.

The inaugural session of the 56th State Convention will be held on January 7, 2025. In which Shri Dhanraj Nathwani (Young Industrialist, Reliance Group) will be present as the inaugural speaker. Humour and folk artist Sairam Dave and the National General Secretary of A.B.V.P. Virendrasinh Solanki will be present as the special guest. In this convention, artworks will also be presented by students from various college campuses of Karnavati.

A grand procession of student power will be organized on 8 January. It will be welcomed and greeted by various social organizations and people from all walks of life. It will start from AES Ground Bodakdev and end at Vastrapur Shahid Chowk via Driving Road. DeshGujarat
