January 04, 2025
Chhota Udepur: Dolomite Mines Association of Chhota Udepur has decided to shut the units for entire January 2025 due to no takers of the product. Dolomite is used in ciramic tiles industry of Morbi. However due to anti-dumping duty in several nations and lesser export therefore, over 100 factories in Morbi are shut. Cascading effect of this has affected dolomite mines in Chhota Udepur. With routine costs of royalty, GST, TDS, labour wages and explosives usage, the dolomite units in Chhota Udepur have therefore decided to take a halt in production and selling for a month through entire January 2025. A large number of tribal labourers work in these units. DeshGujarat
