Insect in Panipuri: AMC seals Diwan Bhel Pakodi Centre in Jodhpur
January 06, 2025
Ahmedabad: The city civic body today sealed Diwan Bhel Pakodi Center in the Jodhpur area after a customer found an insect in the panipuri served to him.
The customer, Harsh, who visited the shop on Sunday, found an insect in the water served with the panipuri. He complained to the staff, stating that there was an insect in the pakodi. The staff responded rudely, claiming they did not place the insect and that it might have come from elsewhere. Instead of apologizing, the staff and the shopkeeper allegedly made rude and baseless arguments. When Harsh requested to see their kitchen, they replied that there was no kitchen on-site and that they could show him their kitchen at home. The staff continued to engage in inappropriate arguments, prompting Harsh to take photos and videos of the insect in the pakodi. He also filed a complaint with the health department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), which sealed the outlet today. DeshGujarat
