The students present at this three-day conference will deliberate on the social and educational situation and take steps to pass a proposal for its improvement. Additionally, the direction of ABVP Gujarat for the next year will be decided during this conference, the ABVP said in an official statement.
Dhanraj Nathwani, Director of Reliance Industries, was the Chief Guest at the inaugural session of the Regional Convention, along with folk writer Sairam Dave, present as a special guest. ABVP National General Secretary Virendrasinh Solanki, ABVP National Organization Secretary Ashish Chauhan, and Chairman of the Reception Committee of the Convention Jakshay Shah were also present.
During the inaugural session, all dignitaries shared their experiences. Sairam Dave, in his speech, recalled his own experience with the student council and said, “In 1992-93, when I was studying for my Diploma in Electrical Engineering, the college buses were stopped for some reason. During that time, students faced great inconvenience. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad activists came forward and started a fierce agitation. For the first time, I experienced Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, and it was through them that I first understood the meaning of revolution and its power, which infuses the inexhaustible energy of patriotism in millions of students like me.”
ABVP National Organization Secretary Ashish Chauhan, in his address, emphasized the importance of students’ contribution to society. While explaining the history of India to the student representatives, Ashish Chauhan told them that the values that the British tried to teach the whole of India 300 years ago were the same values and practices that the people of India had taught the entire world 7000 years ago. Furthermore, Ashishji mentioned that every worker of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is contributing to the reconstruction, which will prove to be an important contribution in making India a developed nation by 2047.
