Ahmedabad: The Vastrapur Police on Tuesday filed two cases against individuals involved in noise pollution.
In the first case, while on patrol, the police received a complaint about ongoing construction work at Sheetal Emporium, West Commercial Building, near Vastrapur Lake, which was disturbing the neighborhood. According to the complaint, Omprakash Pasi (24) was using a drill machine on the ground floor, creating excessive noise and sound pollution in the residential area. This act violated the public notice issued by the Ahmedabad Police Commissioner, leading to Pasi being booked under BNS Section 223 (disobedience of orders by a public servant).
In another incident, a complaint was received that loudspeakers were being used at Jo Jo Coffee Café Wala near Thaltej Crossroads, causing sound pollution. After investigating the matter, the police found Kiritsinh Mori (31) in violation of the same public notice issued by the police commissioner and booked him. DeshGujarat
