January 18, 2025
Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRCL) has launched the “Ahmedabad Metro (Official)” app for iOS users to facilitate online ticket booking for Ahmedabad Metro travel.
This mobile QR ticketing app was previously available only for Android users, but now Apple users will also be able to access the service.
The Ahmedabad Metro mobile app is designed to facilitate ticket booking for travel on Ahmedabad Metro. The ticket is generated in the form of a QR code on the mobile app, which must be scanned at the entry gate of the metro station to travel on the metro. The app also provides information about fare inquiries, metro stations and their facilities, tourist places in Ahmedabad, etc.
The app is available on the App Store, and after installation, travelers will be able to book metro train tickets from the comfort of their homes or anywhere else.
How to Book Tickets on the App
To book tickets on the official metro app, passengers need to click on “Book Ticket,” select the stations between which they want to travel, and then choose the ticket type. After confirming the ticket, the date and fare will be displayed. By clicking on the online payment option, passengers can make a payment via UPI or other methods. Once the payment is completed, the ticket will be generated. Passengers can book metro tickets using the app and make payments using debit cards, credit cards, and UPI.
Passengers will have the option to generate single-journey tickets as well as return-journey tickets. Passengers should note that online tickets will be valid only for two hours after booking. Before booking a ticket, passengers are advised to check the train schedule. DeshGujarat
