Sakkarbaug Zoo Receives African Plains Zebras for the first time
January 21, 2025
Junagadh: The Sakkarbaug Zoo here has received a pair of African Plains Zebras for the first time. This is a significant event as it is the first time the Zoo has received animals as a gift without any exchange program.
The pair of zebras was gifted by Radhe Krishna Temple Elephant Welfare Trust, Jamnagar. The arrival of these zebras is a proud moment for the Sasan Gir Sanctuary and the Gujarat Forest Department as none other zoo in Gujarat has zebras.
Sakkarbaug zoo, over 150 years old, recently welcomed a pair of white tigers. The arrival of the zebras further enriches the biodiversity of the sanctuary. DeshGujarat
