Three GHCL staffers out on survey stranded in Harami Nala area for 16 hours rescued by BSF

Bhuj: Three employees of a private company the Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Limited (GHCL) were rescued by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) after they were stranded in a tidal channel of Harami Nala near the Indo-Pakistan border in Kutch district of Gujarat for around 16 hours.
The GHCL team consisting Engineer Karansinh Jadeja, Surveyor Ravindra Arechiya and Operator Adarsh Kumar was out on dredging machine for a survey of land and water level in the eastern part of the Harami Nala Creek area using on Friday, but were stranded there due to low tide and eventually went out of contact. GHCL official approached the Police on Saturday morning after which efforts were made for their rescue jointly with BSF. The stranded persons were located using their last coordinates available and a drone camera.
They were seen standing on the dredging machine which was upside down. While an IAF helicopter was made ready, the BSF rescued them on a boat. DeshGujarat
