Rs. 175 crore allocation for Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit 2026 in State budget

Japan K Pathak, Gandhinagar: Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai has proposed allocation of Rs. 175 crore for Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit 2026 in the State budget 2025.
Vibrant Gujarat, also referred to as Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, is a biennial investors’ global business event aimed at bringing together business leaders, investors, corporations, thought leaders, policy and opinion makers; the summit is advertised as a platform to understand and explore business opportunities in Gujarat. The summit’s primary objective is to promote Gujarat as an attractive investment destination and to facilitate partnerships and collaborations across different sectors. Summit began in 2003 and is now held every two years. So far 10 such summits have taken place, each with presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the inaugural function.
‘It is proposed for Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit. For this purpose, an amount of Rs.175.00 Crore is required for the year 2025-26. Accordingly, it is proposed to provide an amount of Rs 175.00 Crore in the Budget Estimates of 2025-26 for which, this new item is presented,’ reads the budget doccument of Industries Department.
The budget draft also proposes Rs. 10 crore allocation for promotions to attract investors. Appointment of Sector Expert at iNDEXTB is also proposed in the budget. iNDEXTB is government body that plays a major role in holding Vibrant Gujarat Summits. DeshGujarat
