Special train from Ahmedabad to Somnath announced for Mahashivratri pilgrims

Ahmedabad: Western Railway has announced special train services between Gandhigram and Veraval to facilitate the movement of devotees attending the Maha Shivratri Mela. The special trains, numbered 09567 and 09568, will operate daily during the festival period.

As per details shared by Western Railway:

– Train No. 09567 (Gandhigram to Veraval) will depart from Gandhigram at 10:10 hrs and arrive at Veraval at 17:40 hrs on the same day. This service will be available from February 24, 2025, to February 28, 2025.

– Train No. 09568 (Veraval to Gandhigram) will depart from Veraval at 21:20 hrs and reach Gandhigram at 08:00 hrs the next day. This train will run from February 23, 2025, to February 27, 2025.

The trains will halt at multiple stations along the route, including Sarkhej, Bavla, Dholka, Dhandhuka, Botad, Dhola, Dhasa, Lathi, Chital, Vadiya Devli, Jetalsar, Junagadh, Keshod, Maliya Hatina, Virpur, Gondal, Bhakti Nagar, Rajkot, Wankaner, Than, and Surendranagar Junction.

The special trains will comprise Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.

Bookings for these trains are now open at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters and on the IRCTC website. They will run as special trains with special fares.
