AUDA approves ₹2,231.23 crore budget for 2025-26; ₹300 crore for SP Ring Road expansion

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) has sanctioned its highest-ever budget of ₹2,231.23 crore for 2025-26, focusing primarily on infrastructure expansion, including the widening of the SP Ring Road.
As per the budget, the six-lane expansion of the Sardar Patel Ring Road will be carried out under the hybrid annuity model (HAM), allowing AUDA to manage toll collection directly. The project is estimated at ₹2,293 crore, with ₹300 crore allocated for it in the 2025-26 budget.
Revenue sources in the budget include ₹129.77 crore from development fees, ₹535.08 crore from government grants, ₹900 crore from plot sales, and ₹630.03 crore from an ADB bank loan.
Major expenditures include ₹250 crore for road construction in Kalol and Sanand, ₹200 crore for sewage treatment plants, and ₹81.50 crore for bridge work.
