Coca-Cola India sells north Gujarat bottling operations to Kandhari Global Beverages
March 04, 2025
Goblej: Coca-Cola India has sold its north Gujarat bottling operations to Kandhari Global Beverages Group as part of its asset-light strategy. According to an ET report, the deal is valued at approximately ₹2,000 crore. The move aligns with Coca-Cola’s plan to shift local regulatory compliance to independent bottlers and Indian business houses.
With this transition, Coca-Cola’s direct stake in the bottling business will decrease to 40% through Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), which operates 15 manufacturing plants. The remaining bottling operations will be managed by 10 independent franchise partners. A Coca-Cola India spokesperson confirmed the agreement, stating that the transfer is subject to regulatory approvals.
Last year, the Jubilant Bhartia Group acquired a 40% stake in Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings Pvt. Ltd., the parent company of HCCB. DeshGujarat
