Shift in terminal of trains originating/terminating from Surat Railway Station extended till March 31

Surat: Surat Railway station is undergoing complete transformation & is being developed into world class station. Presently, the concourse work in connection with the Surat Station Redevelopment o­n Platform No. 2 & 3 (Phase – II) is in progress. In view of this, the block which was initially planned upto 08th March, 2025 has now been further extended upto 31st March, 2025. Accordingly, the change in terminal of few trains originating/departing from Surat railway station which was temporarily shifted to Udhna has been further extended and will continue. Similarly, some of the MEMU/Passenger trains being short terminated/originating from Udhna, Bhestan and Navsari stations has also been extended upto 31stMarch, 2025.

According to a press release issued by the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Shri Vineet Abhishek, the change of terminal shall provide operational flexibility, reduce congestion at Surat station, allow augmenting and upgradation of passenger services and enable faster execution of the o­ngoing infrastructural project in Surat. The details of the trains affected & the revised timings are enclosed as Annexure I, II, III, IV, V, VI & VII.
