RS MP Nathwani , Dwarka MLA Pabubha condemn remarks of Swaminarayan monks on Dwarkadhish

Dwarka: Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani today condemned the remarks made by Nilkanth Charandas Swami of Swaminarayan Gurukul, Surat. Nathwani visited Dwarka amid the ongoing uproar over the Swaminarayan sect’s disputed book and remarks on Lord Dwarkadhish, which have drawn strong opposition from the Hindu community.

Replying to the media, Nathwani said, “I condemn any comment made by a saint of the Swaminarayan Temple. Dwarkadhish is, will be, and will always be. There is no place above him. There is no point in others, including saints, making such statements. Dwarkadhish exists, and it is deeply saddening that such remarks are made against him. These people do not believe in Dwarkadhish or have faith in God; that is why such comments are being made, which is distressing.”

Earlier, in a tweet, the Corporate Affairs Director of Reliance Industries had said, “Once again a sadhu of the Swaminarayan gurukul from Surat has made false and baseless remarks about Lord Dwarkadheesh. It has become a fashion to criticize Sanatan Dharma. Statements after statements from sadhus of the Swaminarayan sect are more painful and condemnable. In order to paint rosy picture of their sect before their disciples, these so called holy men draw the Swaminarayan Gods and saints larger than the traditional Sanatan Gods and deities. This is unacceptable and unpalatable from any logic or the wisdom. It’s high time that the wiser counsel prevail on the so called saints. If Swaminarayan sadhus continue such canard to undermine Sanatan Dharma and Sanatan Gods, they will loose the respect of the people. ”

Nathwani had in another tweet on earlier occasion also had slamed Swaminarayan Sadhus’ mentions against Dwarkadheesh when a book page came to limelight from Swaminarayan literature in which Dwarkadhish was shown inferior to Swaminarayan.

Meanwhile, Devbhoomi Dwarka MLA Pabubha Manek stated that Dwarkadhish embodies the spirit of struggle. He asserted that those who speak against Dwarkadhish will see their time come to an end. “Sanatan Dharma is eternal across all four yugs. If a new sect has emerged, we do not oppose it—Hindus and no one else opposes it—but they must remain in their place. If they attempt to elevate themselves by undermining others, let me remind them: Ravana built a golden Lanka, performed penance, and became immensely proud. Similarly, Kansa grew arrogant, and many others have fallen to pride. It seems that this organization has amassed great wealth and power—otherwise, such foolishness would not arise,” said Manek.

The Gadipati of Mogal Dham Kabrau, Manidhar Bapu, also expressed his anger over the remarks made by Swami Neelkanth. Speaking to the media, Manidhar Bapu stated, “There is no one greater than the Lord of the universe. I call them an ‘assembly company’ because they gather and consume forbidden wealth as they please and speak whatever they want, as if it is their private business, with no one to question them. All sadhus and saints must take a stand. Until he goes to Shankaracharya, apologizes, stands before Lord Krishna, the Supreme Being of the universe, and provides a written apology, he will not be forgiven. Every saint, whether great or small, must participate in this movement. I will take part on Wednesday. If necessary, I am ready to sacrifice my life for religion. We are even prepared to take up swords, just as our mother, Mata Mogal, fought for Dharma.”

He also urged people to stop giving money to those who disrespect Dharma after building massive temples.

On the other hand, protests were carried out by the Ahir community in Surat against the remarks made by the Swaminarayan monk. DeshGujarat
