Tourist footfall surges in Sasan Gir, Barda Sanctuary post PM Modi’s visit

Gir: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s jungle safari in Sasangir, tourist footfall in Gir has risen by 18%, according to an official statement from the Gujarat government on Thursday.
PM Modi visited Gujarat from March 1 to 3, marking World Wildlife Day at Sasangir and embarking on a jungle safari. The statement noted that in the 20 days before his visit, Gir recorded 49,681 tourists, which increased to 59,009 in the 20 days following his visit—a surge of 18.8%. Additionally, interest in the Barda Wildlife Sanctuary in Porbandar district has grown, with tourist numbers rising from 108 in February to 215 in March. DeshGujarat
