Ahmedabad Airport to handle 320 flights daily in Summer Schedule; no new destinations added

Ahmedabad: With the announcement of the Summer Schedule 2025, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport in the city is set to handle 320 daily aircraft movements, a 25% increase from last summer’s 256 flights. While no new destinations have been introduced, airlines have increased flight frequencies on existing routes to meet growing demand.

This year’s summer schedule sees IndiGo ramping up flights to Hyderabad, while SpiceJet has added services to Srinagar (five times a week) and Dehradun (daily). Additionally, Akasa is set to launch a daily Bagdogra flight.

According to a news report, limited aircraft availability has prevented significant expansion in direct connectivity. IndiGo is retiring some older aircraft, and part of Air India’s fleet is undergoing maintenance, resulting in several planes being grounded. Despite this, airlines are optimizing their schedules to meet demand.

A direct Ahmedabad-Phuket route is also anticipated in the coming months, though ticket bookings have yet to begin. Popular domestic routes from Ahmedabad this summer include Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jaipur, and Hyderabad. Internationally, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Kuwait City, and Doha remain top destinations. SVPI Airport will serve 49 domestic and 19 international locations, enhancing travel convenience, especially for tourists heading to northern India during the vacation season. DeshGujarat
