Gandhinagar: State-run gas utility GAIL (India) Ltd announced on Tuesday that it has established a wholly owned subsidiary, GAIL Global IFSC Limited, at the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in Gujarat’s GIFT City.

The new entity has an authorised share capital of ₹17 crore and an initial paid-up capital of ₹8.5 crore. It will operate as a finance company within IFSC, focusing on global and regional corporate treasury functions and ship leasing activities. This marks a strategic diversification for GAIL beyond its traditional natural gas and energy infrastructure operations.
