Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Wednesday chaired a review meeting of the Gujarat State Road Development Corporation (GSRDC) in Gandhinagar, where he approved several road development projects.

The Chief Minister approved the six-laning of the Shantipura to Khoraj section of the Ahmedabad-Viramgam-Maliya Road at an estimated cost of ₹800 crore, along with approving ₹247.35 crore for the development of important roads across the state.

The works approved in this GSRDC review meeting include a new vehicle underpass on the road leading towards Shri Bhetdia Dada Mandir on Vatman-Pipli Road at a cost of ₹13.61 crore and another underpass in front of Pipli village at a cost of ₹15 crore.

Once completed, these works are expected to minimize conflicts between local and long-distance traffic, enabling faster, uninterrupted transportation and reducing accidents on the Bhuj-Bhachau road.
