Patan: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat today nabbed Ranchodbhai Laxmanbhai Gohil, a Cooperative Officer (Head Clerk – Class 3) at the District Registrar Cooperative Society Office in Patan, red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹8,800.
According to the ACB, the complaint was filed by a citizen involved in a money lending business. The complainant had approached Gohil to rectify 22 erroneous entries in the government’s online portal. Gohil allegedly demanded ₹400 per entry, totaling ₹8,800, to carry out the corrections.
