CM Bhupendra Patel to review Vishwamitri River project progress in Vadodara

Vadodara: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will visit the city on Friday, during which he will inspect the progress of the Vishwamitri River project. This comes after the recent visit of Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi, who inspected the ongoing work in the Vishwamitri River last week.

During his visit, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development projects worth crores of rupees. CM Bhupendra Patel is scheduled to arrive in Vadodara from Godhra on the night of May 1 and will stay overnight at the Circuit House. On the morning of May 2, he will inspect the Vishwamitri River work near Mangalpande Bridge. Following this, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various projects of the Municipal Corporation at Pandit Deendayal Nagargruha on Ajwa Road. The local administration has been put on alert in preparation for the Chief Minister’s visit.

It is noteworthy that last year, Vadodara witnessed devastating floods, causing major losses to homes and businesses. Lakhs of citizens had to endure three to four days without electricity, food, or water. In response, the government initiated the widening and deepening of the Vishwamitri River. With just 48 days remaining before the official start of the monsoon season, the administration is expediting the work, which will be reviewed by the Chief Minister during his visit. DeshGujarat
