Ahmedabad: The Sufi Islamic Board (SIB) on Monday announced plans to submit an affidavit to the Supreme Court supporting the Waqf Amendment Act. National President Mansoor Khan accused leaders of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) and Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (JUH) of spreading misinformation among Muslims regarding the amended law.

Addressing a press conference, Khan stated that Sufi Muslims support the new law, claiming it addresses decades of misuse of Waqf land by certain individuals and groups for personal gain, sidelining the needs of the larger Muslim community. He alleged that individuals with past links to radical organizations such as the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) and the Popular Front of India (PFI) are now acting as spokespersons for the AIMPLB and inciting protests to protect their vested interests.

He further claimed that those involved in illegal Waqf land dealings are behind the opposition to the amendment and accused such leaders of falsely invoking threats to Shariat whenever their control is challenged.

Joined by Khalid Hussain Naqvi, President of the Bharatiya Sufi Sant Sangathan, Khan urged Muslim youth not to be influenced by these groups. He emphasized that the amended law is essential to protect Waqf properties and ensure they are used for the community’s welfare.

In his address, Sufi saint Khalid Hussain Naqvi stated that the Waqf was established to ensure equal rights for poor Muslims. However, he said, it is deeply unfortunate that over the last 70 years, not a single Waqf property has been used for the welfare of Muslims. Instead, it has been exploited for personal gain by Waqf mafias.

Naqvi said that over 80% of Muslims whose properties have been waqfed support the Waqf Amendment Act brought by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In contrast, the less than 20% who are protesting the Act do not own waqfed properties. They are, he claimed, pawns of the Waqf mafias. The main organization representing these mafias, he said, is the AIMPLB, with multiple branches, all working to mislead ordinary Muslim citizens in order to maintain control over properties worth crores.

The Bharatiya Sufi Sant Sangathan has suffered due to Waqf mismanagement, Naqvi noted, which is why Sufi organizations across the country fully support the new Waqf Amendment Act.

Both Khan and Naqvi called for investigations into misused Waqf assets and whether funds were diverted for anti-national activities. They emphasized that the Act safeguards, rather than threatens, Waqf interests and aims to ensure that the benefits of properties like schools and hospitals are accessible to all, regardless of religion.

આજરોજ સૂફી ઈસ્લામિક બોર્ડના રાષ્ટ્રીય અધ્યક્ષ જનાબ મન્સુરખાન અને રાષ્ટ્રીય અધ્યક્ષ – ભારતીય સૂફી સંત સંગઠન એવા સૂફી સંત ખાલીદ હુસૈન નકવી દ્વારા સંયુક્ત પ્રેસ કોન્ફરન્સનું અમદાવાદ ખાતે આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.

સૂફી સંત ખાલીદ હુસૈન નકવી દ્વારા પત્રકાર મિત્રોને સંબોધતાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે વક્ફ જેતે સમયે ગરીબ મુસ્લિમોને સમાન હક મળે તે ઉદ્દેશથી તેનું ગઠન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. પરંતુ ખૂબજ દુઃખની વાત છે કે વક્ફ માફીયાઓ એ છેલ્લા ૭૦ વર્ષમાં વક્ફ કરેલ એક પણ સંપત્તિ કોઈ મુસ્લિમના કલ્યાણ માટે ઉપયોગમાં લેવામાં નથી આવી ફક્ત પોતાનો વ્યક્તિગત સ્વાર્થ સાધવામાં આવ્યો છે. જે મુસ્લિમોની સંપત્તિ વક્ફ થઈ છે તેવા દેશના ૮૦% થી વધુ લોકો આદરણીય પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્રભાઇ મોદી સાહેબે જે વક્ફ સુધારણા કાયદો લાવ્યા છે તેના સમર્થનમાં છે અને જે ૨૦% થી પણ ઓછા લોકો રસ્તા પર આ બિલનો વિરોધ કરે છે તેમની કોઈ સંપત્તિ વક્ફ નથી થઈ તેઓ ફકત વક્ફ માફિયાઓના હાથા છે. આ માફિયાઓનું જે મુખ્ય સંગઠન છે તે મુસ્લિમ પર્સનલ લો બોર્ડ છે જેની અલગ અલગ ઘણી શાખા છે જેમનું કામ ફક્ત સામાન્ય મુસ્લિમ નાગરિકોને ગેરમાર્ગે દોરવાનું છે જેથી તેમનું આ લાખો કરોડોની સંપત્તિ પર પ્રભુત્વ બનેલું રહે. ભારતીય સૂફી સંત સંગઠન વક્ફ થી પીડિત છે અને તેથી જ સમગ્ર દેશના સૂફી સંત સંગઠન નવા વક્ફ સુધારણા કાયદાને પૂરેપૂરું સમર્થન જાહેર કરે છે.

સૂફી ઈસ્લામિક બોર્ડના રાષ્ટ્રીય અધ્યક્ષ જનાબ મન્સુરખાન દ્વારા પત્રકાર મિત્રોને સંબોધતાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે ૭૦ વર્ષ સુધી વક્ફ દ્વારા એક પણ રૂપિયો સાચી જગ્યાએ વાપરવામાં નથી આવ્યો. મુસ્લિમ પર્સનલ લો બોર્ડ જેવી સંસ્થા કે જે જમિયત ઉલ્માય હિંન્દના આકાઓ દ્વારા સંચાલિત છે, તે ઉપરાંત આ એજ લોકો છે જે ભારતમાં રોક લગાવેલ સંસ્થા “સીમી” તથા “પી.એફ.આઈ” માં પણ સક્રિય કામગીરી કરેલ હતી. આ પ્રકારના લોકો ફક્ત ને ફક્ત મુસ્લિમ સમાજને પોતાના હિત માટે અને દેશવિરોધી પ્રવૃત્તિ માટે ભડકાવે છે. મારી દેશના ગૃહ વિભાગને વિનંતી છે કે આ પ્રકારની સંસ્થાઓ દ્વારા જે વક્ફની સંપત્તિઓ કબજે કરી છે તેના હજારો કરોડ રૂપિયા દેશહિતમાં વપરાયેલા છે કે દેશદ્રોહ માટે તેની અચૂક તપાસ થવી જોઇએ.
