Ahmedabad: The city civic body on Friday sealed 19 food outlets across different zones in the city, including five units at the Urban Chowk food court located opposite Kali Bari Temple near SP Ring Road.

The solid waste management team of the North West Zone of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) carried out an inspection at Urban Chowk and found five outlets littering in public places. These outlets—namely Green Belly, Mocktail Shots, Pure Beans & Cream, Water Outlet, and Amritsari Dhaba—were subsequently sealed.

Meanwhile, the AMC’s West Zone team inspected 312 establishments across various parts of the city. Of these, 249 units received notices for regulatory violations, and 14 units were sealed for improper waste disposal.
