Ahmedabad: The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today sealed Mahalaxmi Corner in the Maninagar area of the city after a customer from Maninagar alleged that she found a dead lizard inside a Havmor ice cream cone bought from this store.

The woman claimed that she felt something unusual in her mouth while consuming the ice cream. When she checked, she was shocked to find a dead lizard in her hand. She reportedly began vomiting and was taken to a hospital after her condition worsened.

Meanwhile, the food department team of the AMC conducted an inspection at the ice cream parlour and sealed it after the parlour was found running without any license and registration. The civic body team  also inspected the Havmor manufacturing unit in Naroda.

Havmor has recalled IceCream in batch number NR121 as per Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC)’s instructions after AMC team visited its icecream manufacturing plant.
