DGVCL announces scheduled power cuts in parts of Surat from May 19–24

Surat: Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (DGVCL) has announced scheduled power outages in various parts of Surat between May 19 and May 24, 2025, due to essential maintenance work on several substations and feeders.
According to notices issued by the DGVCL Piplod Division, Rander Division, and Surat (Urban) offices, electricity supply will be disrupted in sub-divisions including Magdalla, Althan, Icchapore, Piplod, Vadod, Palanpur, Olpad, Mota Varachha, Amroli, Adajan, Pal, Utran, Rander (Rural), Un, Limbayat, Sachin (Rural), Udhna (Rural), and others.
The outages are primarily scheduled during the morning hours, mostly between 7:00 am and 12:00 noon, with some variations depending on specific feeders. DGVCL has advised residents and industries in the affected zones to make necessary arrangements in advance. The notice also states that electricity supply may resume earlier than scheduled without prior intimation upon completion of the work.
DGVCL officials stated that the planned maintenance is essential to ensure a more stable and reliable power supply across the city.
