Sunrisers won the toss and elected to field first against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Stadium on Monday. With only one playoff berth up for grabs, LSG will be desperate to stay in contention. Their campaign has been marked by inconsistency—Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran started strong but have lost momentum, while big-money signing and skipper Rishabh Pant has underperformed, scoring just 126 runs in 11 outings.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are already out of the playoff race, but that makes them a dangerous opponent. The Pat Cummins-led squad will aim to end their season on a positive note. On the flip side, LSG may have an advantage as explosive SRH batter Travis Head is expected to miss the game after testing positive for Covid-19.
