GSRTC launches AC Volvo Bus Service between Surat and Gir

Surat: In a move to enhance connectivity for Saurashtra residents living in Surat, the Surat Division of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation Ltd (GSRTC) has launched a new AC Volvo bus service from Adajan-Surat to Ankolwadi (Gir). The service was flagged off by local Lok Sabha MP Mukesh Dalal.

The new route will operate via Vadodara, Rajkot, and Junagadh, with the fare set at ₹1,623. The bus will depart daily from Adajan-Surat at 7:00 PM, and the return journey from Ankolwadi to Surat-Adajan will begin at 5:00 PM.

Providing details, P.V. Gujar, Divisional Director of the ST Bus Division, said that this service is specially launched for passengers from Saurashtra who are now settled in Surat. The goal is to offer them comfortable and reliable long-distance travel.

In addition to this route, the Surat ST Division plans to operate a total of 20 Volvo routes from June 2, all originating from the Adajan bus station. Enhanced passenger amenities and improved ticketing facilities have been arranged for these services.

The new service is expected to be a boon for travelers commuting between Surat and the Saurashtra region and is seen as a step towards strengthening ties between the two regions through efficient public transport. DeshGujarat
