Videos from the scene showed vehicles, including trucks and a tanker, teetering dangerously from the broken bridge. One distressing clip captured a woman crying for help as her son remained trapped in an overturned van in the river.

Vadodara District Collector Anil Dhameliya stated that the vehicles involved included two trucks, an Eeco van, a pickup, and an auto-rickshaw. Rescue operations are ongoing, with the NDRF, local fire teams, and emergency responders deployed at the site.

He further stated that the bridge had undergone repairs last year. Officials from the Roads and Buildings Department are en route to begin an investigation once rescue efforts are complete. DeshGujarat
