11 minors rescued in anti-trafficking drive at Ahmedabad railway station

Ahmedabad: In a joint operation as part of the anti-human trafficking drive, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and NGO Bachpan Bachao Andolan rescued 11 minors at Kalupur railway station on Monday who were reportedly brought for labour.
The rescue occurred at around 11:35 am upon the arrival of the Asansol–Ahmedabad Weekly Express at Platform Number 7. During a routine check of the general coaches, officials found 10 boys and one girl, all minors, suspected to have been trafficked from Jharkhand, Bihar, and West Bengal for labour purposes.
No arrests have been made yet. The children have been handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Ahmedabad for further investigation and legal action. DeshGujarat
