July 18, 2025
Jamnagar: The state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC.NS) is considering setting up a new refinery with a capacity of 200,000–240,000 barrels per day in Jamnagar, said a Reuters report quoting a company official.
The official, who asked not to be named since the plans are not yet public, said ONGC is currently conducting a pre-feasibility study for the proposed project.
India, being the world’s third-largest importer and consumer of oil, aims to boost its position as a global refining hub by expanding its refining capacity. DeshGujarat
