Ahmedabad: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has rolled out the FASTag Annual Pass, effective from today, 15th August 2025, offering convenience for private vehicle owners.

The FASTag Annual Pass provides toll-free passage for one year or up to 200 toll plaza crossings, whichever comes first, across National Highways and National Expressways toll plazas. Regular FASTag charges will continue to apply on State Highways, local roads, or parking facilities.

The pass is valid only for private non-commercial cars, jeeps, and vans, verified through the VAHAN database, and is non-transferable.

Vehicle owners can activate the Annual Pass through the Rajmargyatra app or the NHAI website, with SMS alerts sent to the registered mobile number. The annual fee is ₹3,000, payable via the app or website, and activation is completed within two hours of payment confirmation.

There is no need to purchase a new FASTag if the existing one is valid and properly affixed to the vehicle’s windscreen. Users can continue using their current FASTag for toll payments if they choose not to opt for the Annual Pass.
