Ahmedabad: Starting today, birth and death registration activities across the entire state of Gujarat, including the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC), have been shifted from the e-Olakh portal to the Government of India’s CRS (Civil Registration System) portal.

In AMC, birth and death registrations recorded between 01/01/2020 and 31/08/2025 were done on the state government’s e-Olakh portal. Currently, the state government’s Birth-Death Department is migrating this data to the CRS portal, a process that will be completed shortly. Therefore, no amendments or additions to birth or death certificates registered during this period can be made at this time.

Amendments to birth and death certificates registered in 2019 and earlier are continuing as per the usual procedures. DeshGujarat
