24 Hours Rainfall Data from Across Gujarat | Kaprada Tops with 10 Inches of Rain

Gandhinagar: Gujarat witnessed widespread and heavy rainfall over the last 24 hours, with 139 talukas receiving significant showers. According to official reports, Kaprada taluka topped the list with 10 inches of rainfall, while Poshina and Dharampur talukas recorded 6 inches each. Other areas including Radhanpur, Umargam, Bhachau, Lakhni, Talod, and Palanpur received over 4 inches of rain.

Data from the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC) revealed that during the 24-hour period ending at 6 a.m. on September 7, at least 15 talukas — including Sanand, Kadi, Botad, Santrampur, Satlasana, Danta, Paddhari, Vav, Dhanera, Patan, Pardi, Bhiloda, Khedbrahma, Prantij, Umarpada, and Modasa — recorded 3 inches of rainfall.

In addition, 38 talukas such as Mehsana, Tankara, Bayad, Siddhpur, Rapar, Jamkandorana, Dhanpur, Khergam, Idar, Vapi, Sagbara, Jhalod, Kheralu, Visnagar, Balasinor, Tilkawada, Maliya, Daskroi, Halol, Jambughoda, Dasada, Sankheda, Dahod, Viramgam, Dhoraji, Jodiya, Jotana, Valsad, Kadana, Halvad, Suigam, Unjha, Rajkot, Tharad, Bodeli, Dhrol, and Vadnagar received around 2 inches. Reports of 1 inch to half an inch of rainfall were also registered in 75 other talukas across the state.

Meanwhile, the seasonal rainfall average in Gujarat has reached 102.89%, marking a surplus compared to normal. Regional distribution shows 106.50% in North Gujarat, 107.34% in East-Central Gujarat, 91.29% in Saurashtra, and 107.99% in South Gujarat.
