Bharuch Narmada Dudhdhara Dairy Election; BJP Suspends 6 Candidates Fielded by its Own MLA

Bharuch: BJP MLA Arunsinh Rana has publicly taken a stand against the party in Dudhdhara Dairy election. Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has suspended nine candidates who are supporters of MLA Arunsinh Rana. 6 of them are from Bharuch district, while 3 are from Narmada district.
State BJP chief CR Patil has introduced a model in which the party decides candidates for all cooperative elections in the State. In Dudhdhara dairy polls, Arunsinh Rana fielded his panel of candidates against rival Ghanshyam Patel. As the issue reached party leadership, the State party chief CR Patil took balancing approach and decided to give mandate to 12 candidates supporting Ghanshyam Patel and 3 supporting Arunsinh Rana.
However Arunsinh Rana continued to field his own candidates, following which the party suspended 9 candidates fielded by Arunsinh Rana. It’s worth noting that Rana’s rival Ghanshyam Patel is present chairman of Dudhdhara dairy. Among those suspended by party include Sunil Patel who is Bharuch District Bank’s Director. DeshGujarat
