Banaskantha: The incumbent chairman of Banas Dairy and Gujarat Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary, along with five others, has been elected unopposed to the Board of Directors of Banas Dairy on Monday.

The last date for filing nomination papers for the Board of Directors of Asia’s largest dairy was Monday, and 50 nomination forms were received across all constituencies, according to Banaskantha Collector Mihir Patel.

Apart from Shankar Chaudhary representing Radhanpur, the other uncontested elected members are Bhavabhai Rabari from Amirgadh, Muljibhai Patel from Suigam, Kamlaben Desai from Deesa, Parbathhai Patel from Tharad, and Ambaben Chaudhary from Bhabhar.

The election is scheduled for October 10, with the last date to withdraw nominations set for September 29. DeshGujarat
