ACB Gujarat Nabs Home Guard Commander in Bribery Case in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) trapped and arrested a Home Guard Company Commander in the city on Monday for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹1,000.
The accused has been identified as Pappubhai Premjibhai Patel (44), Company Commander of Home Guard Division-5, Company-3, posted at Karanj-Shahpur, Ahmedabad, and a resident of Old Vanjarano Tekro, Juna Wadaj.
According to the ACB, the complainant, who also serves as a Home Guard, stated that the accused, Pappubhai Premjibhai Patel, posted as Company Commander of Home Guard Division-5, demanded a bribe of ₹1,000 from him for not marking him absent during night duty and for not harassing him in the Home Guard service. Since the complainant did not wish to pay the bribe, he contacted the ACB and filed a complaint. Today, a trap was set up, and during the operation, the accused was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of ₹1,000. The accused has been booked, and further investigation is underway. DeshGujarat
