Gandhinagar: Even though Vadodara is often hailed as the Garba capital of Gujarat, this year, Kesariya Garba in Gandhinagar once again stole the spotlight on Ashtami, the eighth night of Navratri. Thousands of devotees participated in the Divya Mahaarti of Maa Amba, creating a spectacular formation dedicated to Operation Sindoor.
Organized by the Sahay Foundation and Gandhinagar North MLA Ritaben Patel, the event seamlessly blended devotion with patriotism. The formation, composed of thousands of lamps, celebrated the courage and valor of the Indian armed forces, featuring the words “Operation Sindoor”, a tribute to the fighters of the Indian Armed Forces, alongside an image of Maa Durga. The Golden Chairs Orchestra performed the enchanting Aarti, transforming the venue into a spiritually charged space.
The event was attended by noted personalities, including ICC Chairman Jay Shah and his wife Rishita, Cabinet Minister Rushikeshbhai Patel, and other prominent leaders. The event was officially recognized in the Global Excellence Book of Records.
It is noteworthy that such grand formations have become a hallmark of Kesariya Garba. Last year, the event featured a Mahaarti of 51,000 lamps on the eighth day of Navratri. This year, devotees once again participated with immense faith, creating a striking figure of Adiyogi by standing in a pattern with lamps in their hands, reinforcing the tradition of devotion, creativity, and patriotism.
