MSU Fine Arts Faculty Vadodara Female Student Dies of Electric Shock in College

Vadodara: A female student of Maharaja Sayajirao University (MS University) Fine Arts faculty died of electric shock in the college itself. Kajal Chaudhary, a student of Fine Arts college who was from Valsad in South Gujarat was found lying on the floor by students of Fine Arts faculty. Kajal was taken to medical facility where she was declared dead.
According to faculty, Kajal is believed to have died due to electric shock wile using an electric coil water heater ( a hand-held water heater) in faculty. While faculty doesn’t use such water heater, the victim girl had brought it from her place. She probably did use electric water heater coil to make the water hot in order to use it for tie & die process, which she had learned recently in a workshop. While the faculty was busy in Navratri garba preparations and students were in canteen, the victim girl suffered shock. Later when the students reached the place, they spotted her lying on the floor and took her for medical care.
Meanwhile, the students’ organization, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged protest at faculty of fine arts alleging lethargy on college management part and lack of functional CCTV in the college to confirm that the victim female student died of electric shock passed to her body while using hand-held electric water heater.
