GSRTC to build new bus terminal near Rajkot’s Hirasar airport; tender process underway

Rajkot: The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has invited bids under national competitive bidding for the construction of a new bus station at Hirasar (Airport) in the Rajkot Division.
The project is estimated at Rs 3.78 crore and is expected to be completed within 12 months. The bid security has been fixed at Rs 3.77 lakh, while the cost of tender documents is Rs 7,080.
According to the GSRTC layout, the new bus station will be built on a 5,061 sq. meter area and will include a designated parcel area, cafeteria, kitchen, ladies’ waiting room, VIP waiting area, student pass counter, inquiry room, and an administrative office. Separate toilets for men and women will be provided for public convenience.
A large waiting area will also be part of the project, in addition to two designated areas, and parking facilities will be available on both sides of the bus station building. For accessibility, ramps will be constructed at the entry points for specially-abled passengers.
The expenditure for this project will be met from the budget of the Government of Gujarat / Government of India for centrally sponsored projects. DeshGujarat
